1. What exact kind of poker can I play in the application?

   Texas Poker, mobile and social network application, enables you to play one of the most popular kinds of poker — classic No Limit Texas Hold’em. You can play both at regular tables and in tournaments.

2. For what platforms Texas Poker app is available for?

   Texas Poker application is available for iOS-, Android-, Samsung Bada-based mobile devices and for such social networks as Facebook, Vkontakte, Odnoklassniki. It is also available for desktop computers on Mac OS. You can also play Texas Poker right here on Pokerist.com website.

3. What are Texas Poker rules?

   To learn the game basics and to familiarize yourself with the game interface, you should choose “Tutorial” in the main game menu or check out “How to play” section of the website. Carmen Electra will teach you poker card combinations and all the game basics using examples.

   Important: this knowledge is basic. Though teaching you how to play, it will not teach you how to win. To be successful, you should study game strategy, players' behavior models and improve your playing skills. The “Academy” section of the website will help you in it. You cannot even imagine how exciting can be serious game with an equally advanced rival!

4. What is multi screen mode?

   Multi screen mode — is a mode providing you access to four different game screens at once. With this feature, you can play at two tables simultaneously, participate in the tournament and chat with your friend via personal messages menu at the same time.

   Main menu, personal messages menu, lobby and one more menu are available from this mode by default.

5. How to use the multi screen mode?

   You can activate the multi screen mode by pressing the «Multi screen» button in the lower right corner (iOS) or the upper right corner (flash-version). The icon also indicates your current screen. In order to select one of the four screens, just click the desired screen.

   You can use gestures to switch between screens on the mobile device.

   You can also lock multi screen mode by pressing the lock icon in the center of the screen (available for iPad and flash-version).

6. Why can’t I exit the multi screen mode and go to one of the four screens?

   Most likely your multi screen mode is locked. In order to unlock it, click on the «lock» icon in the middle of the screen. Likewise, you can lock back the multi screen mode. This function is available for iPad and flash-version.

7. Where can I view the events history?

   You can find the events history in the personal messages menu under the «Event log» tab. All of your achievements and activities are displayed here in reverse chronological order, starting with the latest events.

8. How to use chat templates?

   Templates are ready-made words and phrases used in the application chat.

   After opening the chat interface, you will see several tabs: Words, Names, and Dict — from here the most popular abbreviations, player names and popular words are available. If you want to use a certain word or refer to your opponent you just have to select the desired word from the list of templates.

9. How can I remove chat templates?

   To fold the templates menu in the chat, click on the header of the active tab and it will move to the left. Like wise, you can unfold the templates menu.

   When the templates menu is folded, it become easier to read the conversation as chat interface widens.

10. What is lobby?

    Lobby is a special menu in the game where you can see the list of all the games currently active, and the corresponding information (game speed, blind size, number of seats at the table, etc.). There you can choose the game you would like to join. Advanced players study the lobby thoroughly by selecting a middle pot and studying the other players' behavior to score an advantage in the game. It is important to make the right choice when joining a table. This will help you to gain a larger profit and to take part in the game that suits you most.

11. How can I choose a table in the lobby?

    Select “Lobby” in the main game menu. You will find yourself in another menu where you can choose the table you like (imagine that you are in a casino standing by the table and watching a game).

    Choose the desired number of seats at the table, game speed, select whether to show occupied tables and VIP-tables. Choose a blind size most comfortable for you with the help of the special slider. Scroll the tables, watch the game at them, players and their stakes. Having chosen a table, take a vacant seat and wait for the next hand to start.

12. Why can’t I choose a table based on blinds? What do the table levels (easy-medium-hard) mean?

    The table selection based on the level of difficulty (easy-medium-hard) is available to the players who registered after the update of Pokerist Texas Poker (04/26/2012). The level of blinds, in this case, is determined by the amount of chips in your account (bankroll).

13. How can I raise the bet?

    To raise the bet for a sum you like, press and HOLD “Raise” button. Draw the appeared slider up (or to the right in the flash-version) to the amount of bet that suits you and release it.

14. How can I take part in tournaments?

    Select “Tournaments” in the main menu. You will be offered certain conditions. Having agreed with them you will be able to start the game.

15. What does the gold star next to the player's name mean?

    The gold star next to your opponents name means that you have this player on your friend list.

16. How to capture screenshots from the game and share them with friends?

    To capture bright and unusual moments of the game and share them with your friends, press the «Camera» icon and then select what are you going to do with the captured image. You can save it on your device or send it to someone via email or to your Facebook page.

17. Why do I get “kicked out” of the table or I can’t join it?

    You might get “kicked out” of the table because of unstable Internet connection. Before you enter a tournament game, make sure you have a secure Internet connection.

18. What should I do if I think that another player has won unjustly?

    A strong combination does not mean that you will win for sure. The player with a lower combination is not likely to have won, but just got his part of the bet which was larger than yours if you made All-in, that is, betting all the chips you have. The other option is that the other player and you had the same combination but his high card was stronger than yours.

19. What are the device requirements for playing the latest version of the game?

    For the flash-version (when playing on the website or social network websites, for example) you must have Adobe Flash Player installed on your device.

    If you play on iOS, then the software no lower than 4.3 should be installed on your device (if you’re playing on an iPhone — starting from 3Gs).

Creating your game profile

1. What is guest account?

   To start a game, you do not have to register. Just enter the game as a guest. However, your progress in the game will be attached to a certain device. If you won’t be able to continue your progress on another device, you also will not be able to restore your guest account in case the devise is lost or broken.

2. Why do I need registration?

   By registering you create your personal game profile in the application. All your progress, chips, coins and property will be attached to it. You will also be able to make friends in the game. You will be able to use this profile to login from any other platform available (iOS, Android, Samsung Bada, social networks or our website).

3. How can I register in the game?

   To register, you should use the form in the game menu. You will have to enter your email, password and nickname, and load an avatar if you like.

   We would like to draw your attention to the fact that you should state your real email as in this case it will be easier to restore your password.

   If you have a profile in one of the supported social networks, you can use it to quicly register in the game.

4. How can I learn my ID number?

   ID is your unique nine- or a ten-digit number shown in your profile in the application or on the website. Do not forget to state your ID when addressing the support service.

5. How can I restore my password?

   To restore your password, press the “Forgot password?” link and complete the appeared form. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that you should state your real email for registration as in this case it will be easier to restore your password.

   If you stated a non-existent address or the address is not accessible anymore, use Send A Question Form to the support service to receive further instructions.

Game settings

1. How can I change the language of the game?

   The language of the game will be set to the language of your device by default. However, you can set game language back to English by switching off the “Localization” option in the game settings.

2. How can I switch off sound?

   To switch off or to switch on sounds in the game and to adjust its volume, use the corresponding slider in the game settings.

3. How can I switch off vibration?

   Vibration reminds you that it is your turn now. You can switch it off in the game settings.

4. How can I block chat messages?

   You are able to communicate while playing at the table. Players' messages are represented in pop-ups above their avatars. If other players' communication bothers you, you can block their messages in a special menu by pressing the “Lock” icon next to Chat icon. There you can choose certain players whose messages you would prefer not to see.

   You can also block all other players' conversations at once. To do that, switch on “Block chat” in the game settings.

5. How can I switch off statuses?

   If players' statuses representation bothers you, you can switch them off in the game settings.

6. How can I switch on card highlighting?

   This option highlights winning combinations on the table. You can switch it on in the game settings. It will make the game a bit easier though less interesting and tense.

7. How can I switch off push notifications?

   You can switch off push notifications in your device settings. To do that, enter the section Settings / Notifications / Texas Poker.

Game profile settings

1. How can I change my user name?

   Select “Profile” in the main game menu. Then tap on your current nickname and enter a new one.

   To change your nickname in the profile on the website, click your nickname (or the “Pencil” icon next to it) and enter a new one. Then press “Save”.

2. How can I upload or change my avatar?

   Enter “Profile”, tap on your avatar and upload a new photo or picture.

   To change your avatar in the profile on the website, click your current avatar, upload a new one in the opened window or select one of the default avatars. If you authorized yourself on the website for the first time using your Facebook or Vkontakte profile, your social network profile image will be uploaded automatically as an avatar.

3. How can I change my status?

   Enter your “Profile”, tap the field above your avatar and enter a new status. If you do not want to have a status, you can leave this field blank.

   To change your status on the website, click “Enter status” field to the right of your avatar then enter a new status and click “Save”.

4. How can I designate location?

   Location means the region you are in. To reload the location, press the corresponding icon in your game profile.

   To designate location in the profile on the site, press “Indicate” next to the column “Localization” in the line next to your ID on the right of the avatar.

5. What is VIP-status?

   VIP-status allows you to play at special VIP-tables where other VIP-players play, changes the game interface and makes some presents free of charge. You can buy VIP-status for real money, gold coins or get 30-day trial for chips.

6. How can I purchase property?

   You can purchase property for chips and gold coins. It does not influence gameplay but shows that you have succeeded in the game.

   To buy property, enter your profile, tap the “Property” tab and use the “Buy” menu.

   You can give property to your friends or players you like. You can sell your property using the corresponding menu option in your game profile. But you can’t sell property given to you by other players.

7. How can I buy gifts?

   While sitting at a table, click on the «Glass» icon next to your avatar and then choose a gift. The gift will appear next to the player’s avatar. Note that gifts, unlike property, eventually disappear. They stay with you until you leave the table or for a few days if they are VIP gifts.

8. What can I do if I don’t like my gift?

   If you don’t like the gift your opponent has sent you, or the one that you bought yourself, you can always replace it. To get a new present: click on the current gift (that replaced «Glass» icon) and then select a new one. It will now be displayed next to your avatar. Likewise, you can change gifts displayed next to opponents’ avatars. Also, note that the gifts will disappear when, for example, you exit the application. Exceptions are VIP gifts.

9. Why I can’t buy spirits and tobacco in the game?

   According to Facebook rules, persons under 18 cannot buy and get spirits and tobacco presents when playing with their Facebook account or on the Facebook website.

10. What achievements are given for?

    Achievements represent your progress and success in the game. In order to see your achievement list, enter your profile and tap “Achieves” tab. Tap on an achievement to learn what it was given for.

    You also can see your achievement list in your profile on the website. Every achievement bears a comment for what it was given to you.

Chips and coins

1. Do I play for virtual chips or real money?

   When playing, we use virtual money and your account is indefeasible. But you can buy game chips, gold or VIP-status for real money in our In-game Shop.

2. How can I get free chips?

   You can get free chips by:

   • taking part in everyday lottery;
   • downloading bonus applications;
   • inviting your friends to play Texas Poker

   Besides that, your friends can give you up to 100,000 chips a day. Finally, keep an eye out for special offers on our website and your stack will always grow.

3. What happens if I have lost all of my chips and my balance has reached zero?

   Your chips balance will be automatically replenished with 500 chips after your first three losses, so that you could continue playing.

   Later, when your balance reaches zero, on the next day you will be granted chips in the amount of 10 percent of your loss (but no less than 1,000 and no more than 10,000,000).

4. How can I buy chips?

   1. While in the main game menu or in the game itself, tap the “Store” button. There you can buy the number of chips you need with the help of iTunes or Android Market. You will pay by your credit card linked to your iTunes-account. You can also use iTunes gift card.
   2. If you play in social networks, you can buy chips for social networks local currencies (for example, facebook-credits).
   3. You can also buy them on our site Pokerist.com by entering your profile and choosing “Buy chips”.

5. How to buy chips straight into the game?

   You have run out of chips while playing at the table? Tap your avatar and then tap “Chip” icon in the appeared profile menu. Choose the quantity of chips you require and go back to the game.

   You can also simply “stand up” or “leave” the table and “sit down” to the table again. In this case it will be suggested to you to take the necessary amount of chips.

6. How can I buy gold coins?

   Gold coins are required to buy VIP-presents and property. You can buy gold coins in the In-game Store. To do that, select “Store” in the main game menu.

7. Can I exchange my gold coins for chips and chips for coins?

   You cannot exchange gold coins for chips. In the same way, you cannot swap chips for coins; you can only purchase gold in the in-game Store. To do that, select «Store» in the main menu.

8. What should I do if my chips have disappeared?

   If you enter the game and notice that some of your chips have disappeared and your level has become lower, first of all, check if you used the right account to login. You may have used a guest or some other persons’ account to enter. If your chips have really disappeared, address our support service and we are sure to help you.

9. How can I get bonus chips for installing other applications?

   Important: As for now, only Android platform bonus system is active.

   In order to receive bonus chips, download, install and run bonus application. Sometimes you have to wait, restart the game or even re-login to see the chips you have got.

Friends

1. How can I add other players to friends?

   • When in the main game menu, select “Friends”, then select “Search” tab. Find a player by his or her nickname, email or ID and tap “Add to friends”.
   • While in the game, you can send friend requests to players at your table by opening their menus and tapping the “Add to friends” icon.

   You can also send friend requests to other players from your profile on Pokerist.com website. In order to do that, search the person you want to add to your friends by his or her nickname, ID or email, follow to his or her profile then tap “Add friend”.

2. How can I give chips to my friends?

   While in the main game menu, select “Friends”, choose a friend and tap “Send chips”. You can present up to 100,000 chips a day as a whole.

3. How to buy chips for a friend?

   Go to another player’s profile, click on «Send Chips» button and drag the slider to the maximum amount, the «Buy and send chips» button will appear then.

   You will be redirected to the Store after pressing this button. The purchased chips will be sent to your friend.

4. How many chips can give to my friend?

   The number of chips you can transfer to another player is limited to 100,000 chips per day. Though, there is no limit if you are going to buy chips for your friend.

5. How can I send a gift to my friend?

   You can by gifts and property to other players. In order to do this, you need to click on the «Glass» or «House» icons that are located next the player’s avatar.

   By selecting «Buy for all», you can send gifts to all the players sitting at the table.

   Please note that all gifts, as opposed to property, will eventually disappear. They will remain until you leave the table or for a few days if they are VIP gifts.

6. How can I join my friends’ game?

   While in the main game menu, select “Friends”, choose the friends’ profile. If he or she is in the game at the moment, tap “Watch game”. If you want to invite your friend to your table, tap on a vacant seat and choose the friend from the list. He or she will receive an invitation message soon.

7. How can I delete friends?

   To remove soembody from friends, click on «Friends» in the main menu. Select the friend you want to delete and click on «Remove».

8. How can I get chips and other bonuses for the friends I have invited?

   Select “Get bonus” in the main menu and invite friends by sending them phone text message, email or message in Facebook. You will get a bonus if your friends respond to the proposed links. If you play on Facebook, click “Free chips” and receive chips for each new player invited.

   As for now, this bonus system is only available on iOS devices and Facebook.

Personal Messages

1. What are personal messages?

   Personal message is kind of message you can send to a specific player. Only this particular player can read your message. Apart from your current conversation, you can also track all the messages sent before with the dates and time in the message history.

2. How to access the personal messages menu?

   To access the personal messages menu from the main menu press the «Messages» button. You can also access this menu by selecting the upper right screen in the multi screen mode.

3. How does the personal messages menu work?

   In the left sector of this menu you can see the list of friends to whom you have send messages before. To start a new conversation, press the «Add» button (the pencil and plus icon) in the lower left corner of the screen.

   In the flash-version all your friends are displayed in this list.

   You can also view your friends profile from this menu and perform some other actions like sending chips or inviting to join the game.

4. How to send a message?

   Choose the friend to whom you want to write a message, and then click/tap the text field. Type your message and press «Send».

5. Can I send messages to a friend who is offline?

   If your friend is not online, you can still send him a message. The number of messages you have received while you were offline is displayed next to the Messages button icon.

6. How can I delete private messages?

   At this point, you cannot delete your private messages. One of the available solutions is to remove the player from your friends. This will automatically delete the whole conversation. You can then resend a friend request, if necessary.

   We are currently working on a new version of the game, where it is easier to delete messages. It will include buttons, such as «Copy» and «Delete», that will appear once you click on a message. Thus, you will be able to delete all the messages as well as specific ones leaving the rest of the conversation untouched.
